Hi, I'm the Automation Coordinator at SUNY Potsdam College Libraries, 1 hour north of the Adirondack Mountains. We have a distributed approach to managing library systems. My role is to manage our ILS (ExLibris ALEPH), coordinate equipment purchases and sometimes facilitate new systems projects, such as our Ref Pod Blog. Since we are a small medium-sized academic library, I also do reference, collection development (for art, dance and drama FUN!) and spend a lot of time in committee meetings. For more excruciating detail, my web page and vita are here.

This is my second CIL. I think it is the best venue for old cats to learn new technology tricks! Unfortunately, this conference is too crowded: lines are too long, and it is impossible to get into some of the sessions. Fortunately it is very difficult to get an elevator, forcing me to hike up 14 fights of stairs several time a day. I should be Adirondack ready by the time I go home.
